When I was a fairly new Pilates teacher, I worked for a couple years in Paris, France. This was an exciting time and as I became more and more confident with touching my clients to assist their alignment and understanding, I began researching body work schools as I really wanted to grow my health and healing offerings. I found the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork and knew it was exactly what I was looking for because of its psychospiritual approach to bodywork. I was lucky to get to study with the extremely gifted teacher and bodyworker, Lee Joseph and have one-on-one sessions with my mentor. Moving from Paris to Kauai was a huge shift, and rocked me to the core. I fell in love with the island of Kauai and my career evolved here seamlessly. I am constantly in deep gratitude to reside and work here. Naturally, I wanted to study lomi lomi, the bodywork connected to the native Hawaiians. I have been blessed to study with Dr. Makala Yates, Carol Hart, Wayne Kealoha Powell, and Dr. Mark Olson. My bodywork is a synthesis of all the various trainings I have, and may also include scar work, and/or joint or neural manipulations when appropriate. Also, if a client’s discomfort stems from a lack of muscle activation, sometimes, I will incorporate muscle activation techniques.
Massage therapy was a big component of my own healing journey in recovering from a car accident. At various times in my life I have found bodyworkers of various styles to study with and work with closely. Touch is considered the foundation to all forms of sensory awareness. For instance, sound waves must touch our ear drums before we can hear, light particles touch our eyes, food touches our taste buds, etcetera. I am acutely sensitive to how my touch affects your body and communicates with your nervous system to cultivate a healing and aligning response. I consider massage therapy a sacred service that I am honored to share.
I began taking Pilates again after a period of deconditioning following a major surgery. As a retired ER physician with a special interest in integrative medicine, I find Pilates to be a fundamental practice for developing core bodily awareness and fitness. It is also particularly useful in healing following illness or injury. Having taken Pilates from many teachers over the years, I find Nicole Miller one of the best ever. I would highly recommend her if you are interested in improving your physical health and conditioning, no matter where you are starting from.

Nicole is by far the most knowledgeable and gifted body worker I’ve ever worked with. She has an incredible ability to make even the smallest adjustments that bring immediate and lasting relief. I’ll never forget one time while traveling, I pinched a nerve in my neck and could barely move. Within ten minutes of her working on me, I had full mobility back and the pain was completely gone. It felt like a miracle. I’ve known Nicole for many years, and she continues to impress me with her dedication to learning from the best teachers and bringing that wisdom into her practice. She takes her work seriously, offers her full presence, and always gives the very best of herself. It’s truly a privilege to receive her care, both as a body worker and as a healer.

WOW! Nicole! She's one of those rare finds you want to keep all to yourself! Nicole combines her accomplished understanding of the body from her extensive background in Pilates and yoga with her massage technique, creating an experience unlike any other. She seems to know exactly how the body works—how it should move, stretch, and settle. In her Pilates class, she's able to get me to communicate with my body for a more complete workout. I used to just 'power through,' but now I'm truly understanding the mind-body connection. In all my years of getting massages, I've never experienced anything like one of hers. I went in with a long-standing issue in my neck and shoulder, and she used a technique that completely resolved it. My two-hour session with her felt like a combination of a deep tissue massage, Rolfing, physical therapy appointment, and a chiropractic session all rolled into one. Nicole has a remarkable ability to communicate with the body, read its needs, and create the perfect environment for healing. She's incredibly thoughtful and communicative throughout the entire massage. Honestly, I think she can read my body better than I can and knows exactly what it needs to heal. Grateful.

I first started taking private Pilates sessions from Nicole Miller in the winter of 2020, after going through a physically and emotionally traumatic emergency double hip surgery. I needed someone knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body, as I was recovering from such a severe injury, sympathetic and understanding as I was still going through treatment for stage 4 breast cancer and experienced, as I had taught Pilates and ran a Pilates studio in my past. Nicole was all of this and so much more! Since that time, I have continued taking private sessions with her on a weekly basis and can vouch for what a warm, authentic person she is, highly trained as a Pilates teacher and what a remarkable gem she is in general. She has a great knowledge of the human body, how it works and is committed to learning new information to enhance her Pilates practice. After being a well-trained Pilates teacher myself, I can say with 100% confidence that Nicole is one of the best. I highly recommend her as a Pilates teacher and all her health offerings she has to offer to the public, you can’t go wrong with her!

I was skeptical about taking supplements initially, but willing to try anything to help my body process Chemotherapy while treating Lymphoma. My food intake had decreased significantly due to the nausea, indigestion and bloating that I was experiencing from the infusions. Eating regular meals had become difficult, especially breakfast. The protein shake and bio basics go down a whole lot easier, and have been helping me stay nourished and strong. Chemo treatments aren’t easy, but one shake in the morning with a couple of the DNA Immune supplements, definitely, makes a big difference in my energy levels. Not only has it helped me maintain a healthy weight. I’ve gone from being in a wheel chair to throwing the frisbee for our four dogs. Plus, my doctor was very impressed with the ingredients and quality of the products. I’m really grateful Nicole has guided me with taking these supplements. They’ve really helped me stay strong during an extremely challenging time in my life.

Nicole has been my Pilates instructor for the past 20 years. She was one of my first Pilates teachers. I was always so impressed with her unique ability to communicate and guide her students with perfect words and phrases, while they were performing complex exercises during the classes. I am now 86 years old. Most of my life, I suffered chronic pain in my right shoulder, neck and hip. The past several years, I have given myself the gift of weekly Private Sessions with Nicole. Pilates was the beginning of my recovery, and when I got serious and began the weekly sessions with her my posture, strength, balance, and especially my freedom from pain have improved way beyond what I thought could ever be possible. I feel better physically, mentally and emotionally than ever before in my life. I credit Nicole, who is constantly studying, learning and sharing both new and ancient practices with her students and clients. I am in excellent physical health now, and I believe that Nicole is, “Simply the Best” teacher and physical therapist ever!
The cleanse was amazing. I lost over 15 pounds in the first 21 days and was never really hungry. Thanks Nicole for guiding me through it!
